The million dollar question lots of brands ask is, how do I connect with my audience online? I’m not sure anyone has the answer to this as it is often dependent upon your audience and what it is they are looking for from you. But one thing I am sure of is, is if we can tap into our audiences emotions, we have a good chance of connecting.
In today’s increasingly growing competitive online space, the importance and value of engaging your audience is second to none. If your audience love you and your brand and you can keep that trust, rapport and advocacy then you’re doing a pretty good job!
Creating content, growing a community and engaging your audience are some of the fundamentals of establishing an effective online presence, but it’s not an easy task and one in which many of us struggle with.
For me, I think one of the most powerful ways to connect is by tapping into your audiences emotions. Finding out what it is your product or service can offer your audience and how you can then turn that into a message and reason that they might need or want your product or service.
Using humour, compassion and empathy are all great ways of tapping into your audience, and you can do this through your content. It might be with video, photographs, case studies or even questions.
Stories are a great way to connect with your audience. You can tell a story about how the brand started, the story about the people behind the brand or a story about someone who used your product or service.
